On Monday, December 7, 2020, Ghana went to the polls and the counting of the ballots is still ongoing across the country.

However, some results that are being obtained do not favor some of the NPP parliamentary candidates.
These big NPP furries lost their seat to their respective NDC candidates, although some of the results are tentative.
1. Yaw Buaben Asamoah:
Ghana’s mainstream media has widely reported that Asamoah has lost his position at Adentan Constituency.
He reportedly lost to the NDC’s Mohammed Adamu Ramadan.
Asamoah won the seat in 2016, but has not been able to retain it.
2. George Andah:
George Andah has lost Awutu Senya West’s parliamentary seat to Hannah Tetteh’s sister, Gizella Tetteh-Agbotui of the Democratic National Congress.
According to provisional results, Gizella Tetteh obtained 32,708 polls, while George Andah obtained 29,832.
Andah was the starter after taking the seat from Hannah Tetteh in 2016.
3. Dr. About Boye:
According to viral reports, Oko Boye, who is the Deputy Minister of Health, lost his position in the Ledzokuku constituency to Benjamin Ayiku Nartey of the NDC.
Oko Boye won the seat in 2016 and after four years he has been replaced.
4. Abu-Bakar Saddique Boniface:
According to Graphic Online, the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Madina electoral district, Mr. Abu-Bakar Saddique Boniface, has lost his seat to the candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Francis Xavier Sosu.
Mr. Sosu got 62,127 votes to beat the former Inner City and Zongo Development minister, who managed to get 46,985 votes.
Meanwhile, the mother of Ghanaian dancehall musician Fantana, Dorcas Nda-Affo Toffey, has reclaimed Jomoro’s parliamentary seat on the NPP’s NDC ticket.
He seized the seat from incumbent member of parliament Paul Essien, who has held the seat since 2016.
Paul Essien, who was deputy minister for Headquarters and Religious Affairs in 2016, beat the NDC parliamentary candidate to represent constituents.
This is the first time that the mother of the Rufftown Registrar has run in a general election.
