Bofoakwa Tano CEO Yaw Boateng Gyan has been invited by the Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for making a serious accusation of influence peddling against Dreams FC.

The head of the Liga Division One club last month stated in a radio interview that the club’s former player, Andrés Apau, was removed from the country’s U-20 team, Black Satellites, because he rejected Dreams FC for Asante Kotoko.

He revealed that the highly rated defender was being hunted by various clubs, including Dreams FC, but his club Bofoakwa Tano decided to sell him to Kotoko.

And that decision has cost the boy a spot on the Black Satellites team as they prepare for the WAFU tournament.

According to the former member of the Black Stars management committee, Apau was sent home by some important figures on the team, who have strong ties to the top-notch Ghana club.

His comments were not taken lightly by Dreams FC, who reported him to GFA. The local soccer governing body has responded to Dreams by dragging Yaw Boateng Gyan to the Ethics Committee.
