People have been waiting a long time for a successor to the Pocophone F1, ‘flagship killer’ of days gone by, and now we are closer than ever to the presentation of that phone. It is no longer a mystery that it will be a renowned Redmi K30 Pro, a device that launched in China in March.
And now we have an idea of what to expect in terms of prices, at least for the euro zone. According to a source in Portugal, the Pocophone F2 Pro will be priced at € 649 for a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. That goes up to € 749 if you want to incorporate 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

Note that Portugal has a ‘private copy tax’ that makes smartphone prices a little higher than elsewhere, so the best case for other countries would be a starting price of € 599.
That would match the Realme X50 Pro, which is good because there will be direct competition between the two. The Realme has a high refresh rate display and more base RAM, but the Pocophone doesn’t give you the pill-shaped cutout on the screen, nor any cutouts, thanks to its pop-up selfie camera. Of course, there are other differences that we will address when the new Pocophone becomes official, but in the meantime, why not read our review of the Realme X50 Pro?
Unfortunately, we still don’t know when the Pocophone F2 Pro will be announced, or if there will be a non-Pro F2, and if so, which Redmi will be a new version. The K30i perhaps? There’s already the Poco X2, which is a Redmi K30 (not Pro) with another name, and it seems that this year Xiaomi really wants to amplify the general confusion about its mischief names. And succeed, at least so far.
Like the Redmi K30 Pro, the Pocophone F2 Pro should feature the Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G connectivity, a 6.67 “1080×2400 Super AMOLED touchscreen, a quad rear camera system (64MP main, 13MP ultra-wide, 5MP telephoto macro, 2 MP depth sensor), a 20 MP selfie shooter and a 4,700 mAh battery. It will work with Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top.
