The Rev. Francisca Duncan-Williams, founder of Doxa Citadel Church, has urged women to use their entrepreneurial skills and talents to positively impact society.
He said that women were gifted with gifts like cooking and crafts and could make a difference in society when they started doing business with those skills.
Reverend Duncan-Williams spoke at the second anniversary of the Awakened Women Professional Fellowship in Baatsonaa, near Tema, on the topic: “God’s Purpose for a Woman.”
The scholarship was established two years ago to support young women through vocational training.
She said that while prayer is necessary for the survival of a Christian, it is also important to skillfully develop one’s ability to become a woman of purpose and an asset to the family and the nation at large.
The Reverend Duncan Williams described a determined woman as a hardworking woman who supported the family and contributed to the maintenance of the house.
“A woman of purpose is a woman of prayer, a woman who has the spirit of being able to do, who gives her time and treasure without counting the cost. A woman of purpose is a woman who loves the Lord with all her heart, time, treasure and talents, ”he said.
Dr. Mary Offei-Agyeman, Medical Director of Ropheka Herbal Hospital, asked Ghanaians to adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols by washing their hands with soap under running water, using alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and observing social distancing.
He urged Ghanaians to eat healthy foods and more vegetables to keep their immune systems strong.
Lady Apostle Victoria Sarpong, founder of the fellowship, said it was established in 2019 to offer support to young women by providing vocational training.
She urged women to aspire to greater heights and assume leadership positions by improving their educational attainment.
