“Someone of that quality needs to be playing in the Champions League.
“I’d probably give it one more year and see what happens.
“If you go and win a League Cup, will that be enough for me to say ‘okay, I like what Spurs are doing and I’ll stay’? Not.”
Spurs, who are in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, are seen as having the perfect man at the helm in Mourinho when it comes to handing over a long-awaited trophy, with the Portuguese having an impressive résumé.
