Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has boldly claimed that Tottenham or Chelsea will win the Premier League title over Liverpool and Manchester City this season.
Tottenham and coach José Mourinho underscored their title credentials on Saturday with an impressive 2-0 win over City, while earlier in the day Chelsea beat Newcastle by the same score.
After nine games for most teams, Spurs top the league standings, tied on points with champions Liverpool, two ahead of Chelsea and eight ahead of City.
On Sunday, Chelsea host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge, in what will be a clash between the two old Gallas teams.

Liverpool and City remain the bookies’ favorites to fight for the title, but Gallas believes the race will come down to Chelsea and Tottenham as he dismisses Arsenal’s hopes of a challenge.
“This result confirms what I said a few weeks ago,” Gallas wrote on Instagram.
“It is a London team that will win the Premier League this year.

“After watching Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham play, I already know that Arsenal will not win the Premier League.
“I’m looking forward to next weekend to see Chelsea against Tottenham.
“I’m already sorry about Anderweireld’s injury, he’s Tottenham’s head of defense.
“Tottenham will slow down a bit, but you know what is still a great London derby and Mourinho is back at Stamford Bridge.”
