Hearts of Oak is struggling to attract a big-name coach after Kosta Papic’s unexpected departure two weeks ago.

GHANASoccernet.com understands that Maxwell Konadu, Ibrahim Tanko and Yaw Acheampong have rejected offers to replace the Serb on the bench.

These top three coaches are concerned about the rampant firing of coaches by the club’s board who have been under pressure.

The hunted coaches are not thrilled with the club’s offseason signings.

In addition, they fear the board’s inference on player selection, which was cited as the main reason for Papic’s departure, but has been overruled by board member Vincent Sowah Odotei.

Konadu has been available since his dismissal by Asante Kotoko and Acheampong is also expected to leave Elmina Sharks.

Tanko, a former Black Stars assistant coach and Black Meteors head coach, has not been together since returning from the 2019 CAF U23 Nations Cup in Egypt.

In 11 years, the board led by Togbe Afede XIV has fired 22 coaches, including Paa Kwesi Fabian and the late Yusif Abubakar.

The rest are Nebojsa Vucicevic, Shaibu Tanko, CK Akunnor, Ben Adjei, David Duncan, Mohammed and the late Herbert Addo.

Others are Eddie Ansah, Can Vanli, Kenichi Yatsuhashi, Sergio Traguil, Yaw Preko, Henry Wellington, and Frank Nuttall, just to name a few.

Meanwhile, stoppage coach Samuel Nii Noi seems to be getting the job done with two wins in a row (against Ebusua Dwarfs and Liberty Professionals).

Next week, the Phobians will face their eternal rivals Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League derby.
