Which prospect of Real Madrid has more advantages?

Real Madrid have signed several excellent young players in recent years, but who has more advantages?

In the summer of 2018, Real Madrid signed left-back Vinicius Junior to Flamengo, and the teenager has quickly become an important part of the team, even dominating FC Barcelona in a March Classic last season.

A year later, Los Blancos added a pair of more talented young players at Brazilian center-back Eder Militao, Bundesliga forward Luka Jovic and Santos star Rodrygo Goes. Militao shone in a few starts alongside Raphael Varane, Jovic had only a few brief moments of time to show his features, and Rodrygo scored a perfect fairy tale hat-trick in the Champions League after an incredible debut goal in the few seconds of his presentation in September against Osasuna. .

Real Madrid’s loan prospects are just as impressive. Martin Odegaard of Real Sociedad was one of the best players in the league this season, Takefusa Kubo attracted attention in Mallorca, Andriy Lunin made some great stops, Achraf Hakimi had a tremendous season for Borussia Dortmund and Oscar Rodríguez scored several blows for Leganes.

The Whites even added another great young player from Brazil, signing offensive midfielder Reinier Jesus de Flamengo. And Reinier quickly established himself as a player to watch in Castilla, with a potentially large La Liga loan move on the horizon in 2020-2021.

Of all these tremendous young talents, who has more advantages? The focus quickly focuses on Brazil’s two expensive Serie A winger prospects in the last two summer windows, as Rodrygo and Vinicius have already been highlighted by Los Blancos. Both players have the advantage of being Ballon d’Or winners and are held in high esteem around the world.

Choosing between them is extremely difficult, but if I had to choose, I would go with Rodrygo.

In his first season with Real Madrid, Rodrygo looked like a future superstar and showed advanced attack features. His understanding of the space outside the ball is surprising, as is his passing accuracy for a player in position.

According to WhoScored.com, he completed 89.4 percent of his passes last season, with only Toni Kroos and Sergio Ramos improving that mark among Madrid players. That’s a crazy pass accuracy percentage for any attacking player, let alone a player who was 18 years old for most of the 2019-2020 season.

Rodrygo can do it all. His hat-trick against Galatasaray showed his ability to score from any situation. His composure and technical quality are impressive for a young player, as his clever left foot volley goal against Club Brugge can attest. Or even his first touch and his cool finish against Osasuna for the second fastest debut goal in Real Madrid history after Ronaldo’s No. 9.

Man has all the tools, mental, physical and technical, to dominate La Liga and the Champions League in a few years. Based on his departure against Galatasaray and Bruges, he already has the traits to succeed in that competition, albeit against smaller teams.

Rodrygo led all Los Blancos players with 0.80 goals and assists for 90 minutes (minus penalties) in all competitions last season, according to FBRef.com. Yes, he was even more efficient than Benzema, and he accomplished this when he was 18 in his first seasons in La Liga and the Champions League.
