Lt. Col. Larry Gbevlo-Lartey (rtd) asking the returning officer to give them a copy of the sheet
The leaders of the opposition Democratic National Congress (NDC) have paid a visit to the office of the Electoral Commission (EC) in the Techiman Sur constituency in the East Bono Region to demand copies of the pink sheets and the check sheet used to declare the New Patriotic Party (PNP), Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah as elected Member of Parliament.
According to the party, the EC manipulated the figures in favor of the nuclear power plant government.
Last Thursday, NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama, reiterating his stance not to accept the results declared by the EC, said: “We are deploying additional teams of lawyers and senior Party officials to support them. [constituency officers]. “
“In addition, in order not to leave any more infractions unaccounted for, the NDC will continue its meticulous audit of all presidential pink sheets to ensure the people’s verdict is upheld.”
“These steps will surely lead to our next line of action within the limitations of our democratic governance process,” said John Dramani Mahama. “We want to send a warning to the EC that, according to Regulation 47 of CI 127, they should guarantee that the electoral data is kept for one year, after the elections,” Mahama said.

During their interaction, the constituency’s Return Officer told them to go to the regional office to which he had sent the copies, including that of the NDC.
On Election Day and during the match, the NDC raised some objections and the subsequent confusion at the site of the match required an intervention from law enforcement agencies.
The NDC insisted that the results were not officially declared by the Return Officer.
However, the NPP has debunked that claim and came forward to show a video in which the scrutineer officially declared the results, while some NDC men tried to attack and snatch the megaphone with which he announced the results.

The video shows a security officer intervening to avoid having his megaphone snatched from him.
When the Accra NDC officials visited the EC office, the Return Officer directive that they go to the Regional Office did not sit well with them as they insisted that by law the Return Officer was the one to give them the copy.
Members of the NDC team that were in the EC office included Secretary General Johnson Asiedu Nketia, attorney Kojogah Adawudu, Lt. Col. Larry Gbevlo-Lartey (rtd), Baba Jamal, Collins Dauda and a few others who tried to impress the Officer who returns to give them the copy.
