Some concerned young people from the West Topic constituency have called for the removal of Parliament Member Carlos Ahenkorah as constituency representative.

This decision comes after a “serious fault” of the deputy of Tema West during the election of the president of the 8th Parliament.

In this view, some voters have opened a petition book in various places in the constituency on Monday to obtain signatures.

The petition book will be available to everyone from Monday, January 11, 2002 to Wednesday, January 13.

During the live coverage of the inauguration of the 8th Parliament covered by JoyNews, Carlos Ahenkorah was caught stealing ballots as he made his way to the nearest exit.

Meanwhile, the group indicated that in the coming days it will present a petition to Parliament for the removal of Carlos Ahenkorah as a legislator.

Some Ghanaians have expressed disappointment and concern at the conduct displayed by members of Parliament on 7 January.

Numerous citizens and institutions have also called for various sanctions to be imposed on legislators for not behaving in accordance with the law.
