The Electoral Commission has delved into the argument regarding both the ruling PNP and the opposition NDC, who claim to have won majority seats in parliament in the current 2020 general elections.

According to Electoral Commissioner Ms. Jean Mensa, the statement of results scheduled for today December 9, 2020, will clarify which party effectively won majority seats in Parliament.

“We have noticed that there has been some confusion about the number of seats in Parliament. We assure you that by Wednesday, we will make this information available to you on the number of seats in Parliament and which political party has the majority in Parliament to put an end to the issue of the number of seats.
