We will redeem ourselves, we will be heroes again – Dr. Apaak in Minority Caucus brouhaha

Builsa South Member of Parliament Dr. Clement Abas Apaak says the minority in parliament will once again take their rightful place as the nation’s heroes.

His comment follows several criticisms leveled at NDC MPs for not being in unison amid the approval of some appointed ministers appointed by President Akufo-Addo.

This, according to some party supporters, has led to the resignation of North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa from the Parliament Appointments Committee, although the MP in question did not allude to it in his resignation letter to the president on March 30. .

But endorsing minority leader Haruna Iddrisu’s stance that members of the Minority Caucus will survive the criticism, Dr. Clement Abas Apaak in a tweet stated that NDC MPs will redeem themselves upon return from recess.

According to him, although current events related to the minority have gone south, the NDC representatives in Parliament have learned their lessons and “will once again be heroes.”

The Builsa South congressman, therefore, urged all the rank and file of the opposition Democratic National Congress to remain firm and “keep faith in the Minority Caucus” to hold the incumbent government accountable.

Likewise, the National President of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo has assured in a March 31 press release to the members and Directors of the party that “the matters that have provoked public comment have been dealt with in a way that will promote and strengthen the cohesion of the party and all its organs ”.
