The national organizer of the New Patriotic Party (PNP), Samuel Awuku, has said that the PNP will not succumb to intimidation in the upcoming elections.
Speaking at the 2020 Volta Teachers Conference held in Ho under the auspices of the Volta Regional Organizer, Sammy Awuku said that the party will ensure vigilance during the counting of the ballots on December 7.
“We will not be intimidated in this election, we refuse to be intimidated in this election. The NPP will remain vigilant and ensure that each ballot is counted and counted correctly, ”he said.
According to the youth organizer, “the ballot will be a choice between prosperity and poverty, … competition and incompetence … the ‘dumsor’ we have finished and someone who wants to continue from where he left off.”
He appealed to the teachers not to take things for granted, stating that they are the main employees of the electoral commission.
“Let’s not take things for granted, for many of you and your colleagues, they will be agents, they will be officers; you and your colleagues because when the electoral commission is recruiting, they are mostly teachers, ”he said.
He stated that “the PNP does not want to be favored in these elections,” adding that it would not want its opponents to be favored either.
“We do not expect our opponents to be favored as well and no region will be declared a no-go zone in this united Ghana. The presidency will not be due to mistakes, we have no time to lose again ”, he added.
Samuel Awuku warned the NDC not to put their hopes on the Volta Region votes, as the PNP is managing to attract the loyalty of the Region’s voters.
According to him, “if someone thinks that it is still a World Bank (referring to the support of the NDC in the Volta Region) and they have forgotten that it has been reduced to microfinance, then the person has a problem.”
“The NDC still lives in a very dangerous illusion, if you are a leader, you should have people following you, but the day you turn around to see that no one is following you, you are taking a walk, not leading and that is what is happening. in the Volta region, ”he said.
He added that the PNP will extend its campaign to all workers throughout the country.
“We will campaign for teachers across the country, nurses across the country, merchants across the country, students across the country, each and every voter will hear our message of hope against hopelessness from Mahama ”.
