We don’t know of any of those groups that demand compiled election results — NDC

The leadership of the group claiming to be aligned with the main opposition cadres of the Democratic National Congress (NDC) for Responsible Leadership (CAL) demanding the election results collected from the party from last year’s election has been discredited and repudiated for its own party.

Deputy Secretary General Peter Boamah Otokunor said the group’s request “is something that should be ignored and treated with all the contempt it deserves.”

“We are a very serious political party. We are not joking at all. We are not a fan club. We don’t know the group. In fact, I will not glorify them with the dignity of looking at what they have written, “he said in Eyewitness news On Wednesday.

The group at a press conference on Tuesday also demanded that Mahama present the election results collected independently of the party from the December 2020 polls.

He gave a 14-day ultimatum to the NDC leadership to produce collated figures or the pink sheets.

Mr. Otokunor also questioned the credibility of the group that described itself as Cadres for Accountable Leadership.

“That organization does not exist. It is the product of someone’s imagination. Someone created that to be mischievous and I think they should be treated with the contempt they deserve, “he said.

Mahama is coming off a failed electoral petition in which he tried to force a second round of the 2020 elections after alleging that the Electoral Commission quilted President Akufo-Addo’s vote count, among other claims.

The group said it would hold a series of protests to convey its displeasure in order to have its demands met.

He also asked the NDC to apologize to the Election Commission if its claims in the election petition were false.
