With literally 17 (seventeen) days to cast our votes to elect our next president and parliamentary candidates, Ghana has experienced so much disappointment from the PNP administration that it must culminate in ending the existing duo-political structure enjoyed by the yaanom; (that is, both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to incorporate a third force into our politicking so that we have a level playing field to accommodate the views of the silent minority.
Nkrumah and his government of the CPP that ruled us for 9 years, and the 2 (two) military regimes of NLC and NRC / SMC that ruled us for 7 years apart, NPP and NDC have ruled Ghana for a total of 42 years.
NDC (including PNDC) has ruled the nation for 27 years and NPP (including Busia’s 3 years from 1969 to 1972) has also ruled Ghana for 15 years, through December.
The above statistics are vitally important to shed light on the two evils (Yaanoms) who have played with our country for so long.
This is the reason why Ghanaians must now seek a third voice in our national parliament to bring sanity to our country’s administration by ushering in a new and third political party.
Ghanaians must no longer leave other smaller parties irrelevant while the larger political parties (the Yaanom) continue to make the same old mistakes and deceive us, regardless of their infractions in governing us.
The time has come to change the dynamics to now involve the smaller political parties, such as the third largest opposition party in the country, the Progressive Popular Party (PPP).
Little things can make big differences and I urge my fellow Ghanaians to remove their party colors and vote for the PPP, so that we enter parliament to represent the views of the smaller political parties, and thus usher in of a third voice to make debates and parliamentary discussions. most effective in the best interest of the nation.
It has been the norm for political parties to present to the nation false promises and impossible to meet for the sake of winning the election.
We are witnesses to the last Manifesto of guarantees presented by the PNP in 2016 that won the elections.
The main of his promises was 1 district, a factory. There are 216 (two hundred and sixteen) districts in Ghana, and one would have expected 216 factories in place, with thousands of workers employed during the 4-year period of PNP rule.
The NPP now tells us stories of roosters and bulls, and I quote Nana Akomea of the NPP Communications Team, Modern Ghana publication, thus,
“The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) says that a total of 76 factories under the One District One Factory (1D1F) policy are currently operating and employing hundreds of Ghanaians. Speaking at a press conference in Accra, a member of the party’s Communication team, Nana Akomea, said 48 other dormant factories have taken advantage of the initiative to reactivate their operations.
“As of July 2020, 76 factories are in operation. 28 of them are brand new factories, 48 are existing factories that have submitted expansion proposals under 1D1F, and have approved proposals and funding provided. “
Much noise was made about One District, One Factory (1D1F) and Ghanaians expected 216 (two hundred and sixteen) factories to have been established, with thousands of workers in employment as of today November 20, 2020 with 17 (seventeen) days for the general elections of 7 December 2020. nuclear power plants they have not built even half of the 216 factories, ie 108.
Makes sense? Should the electorate to trust the NPP when they are actively campaigning for four years from the electorate? knowing very well that they have not served the nation with the honesty that they should, within the framework of the promises of the Manifesto that they have not fully fulfilled?
Poor and unemployed souls huddle in the back of pickup trucks, amid loud music blasting and desperate appeals to the electorate to consider them once more for four more years.
The big answer is “No”, we can’t. Ghanaians can no longer turn around and need a change public-private partnerships can also help to manage our own affairs. The new broom sweeps well and we have rolled up our sleeves to get our hands dirty.
We are truly AWAKE to the glow of the red sun.
