Vodafone launches virtual assistant for customer service on WhatsApp

NEW DELHI: Telecommunications operator Vodafone Idea has unveiled a new solution to assist its subscribers during the ongoing national blockade. The service provider has introduced VIC – AI-powered digital customer service for its customers.

The new virtual assistant is live on the websites, the My Vodafone and My Idea applications. Along with this, users can also access this new service through WhatsApp. The company claims that VIC is easy to use and allows subscribers to chat with Vodafone Idea in a secure manner.

The new virtual assistant Vodafone Idea VIC 24×7 can be accessed. To access the digital assistant through WhatsApp, Vodafone users must send a message to 9654297000, while Idea users can WhatsApp to 7065297000. The VIC allows Vodafone and Idea customers to get an instant response on a series of service requirements, including bill payments, top-ups, VAS, plan activation, new connection, data balance, bill requests, and more.

This digital service has been developed for Vodafone Idea about technology by ORISERVE, a startup in stealth mode.
