Real Madrid, LaLiga champions, will play Villarreal at the Estadio de la Cerámica, on their return from the Spanish league.
Here is our preview.
🗞 Match preview
Unai Emery seems to be doing something right at Villarreal, as he is currently averaging 2.6 points per game at home.
They put on a really impressive performance last time out, beating Getafe 3-1 to claim second place before the international break.
However, things have not been going well for Los Blancos, and their recent 4-1 loss to Valencia last time out could have put more pressure on Zinedine Zidane. It was also kind of a rare game with Valencia winning and converting three penalties.
The Whites had been quite strong on the road prior to that season, scoring 10 points in their first 4 league games away from home, including a Clásico win at the Camp Nou. They should at least be able to welcome Casemiro into the fold this weekend, which invariably makes a big difference and it is unlikely that Marcelo or Isco, who were heavily criticized in Valencia, will keep their places.

- Real Madrid have lost two of their last four La Liga matches (G2), as many defeats as in their 33 previous matches in the competition (G24 D7 D2).
