Former Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor will love having a swan song in his career against Ghanaian Premier League giants Asante Kotoko.

The former Togolese captain, who resides in Ghana’s capital Accra, is also ready to serve in administration or on the board.

Adebayor is available in free transfer after terminating its contract with Paraguayan Olimpia in July 2020 by mutual due to complications from the coronavirus pandemic.

The 36-year-old was seen at the official press conference of Asante Kotoko’s partnership agreement with Hisense on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

When asked if he would consider playing for Porcupine Warriors before hanging up his boots, Adebayor gave the club’s fans a glimmer of hope.

“In life, when I was young, I never thought I would play for Real Madrid in my whole life. I never thought I’d be on TV even once in my life, but at the end of the day, I’ve been there, ” Adebayor said.

” Playing for Kotoko is a team and I already have a friend there now. I have family, I know the CEO, so I’ll never say never.

“I can decide to retire in Ghana or I can decide to be on the board.”

Adebayor played for some high profile clubs in Europe including Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

He was also in Turkey with Istanbul Basaksehir and Kayserispor.
