The prosecution said the complainant was to transport the defendant to Salem Square in Teshie.
Chief Inspector Haligah said that on his way, Maamah, who was sitting behind the complainant, quickly smeared pepper powder on the face of the complainant and his accomplice, Solomon took the complainant’s Tecno Camon-11 mobile phone valued at GHC800 and they both exited fired.
The prosecution said that the author screamed for help and some women came to his aid, providing him with water to wash his face. He said that a report was made to the police in Teshie and during the investigations, Maamah was arrested.
The prosecution said that Maamah named Solomon alias “Container Money” as his accomplice and informed police that it was Solomon who used his mobile phone to request the services of Bolt’s driver.
However, Maamah was unable to lead the police to this accomplice.
