Two supporters of the Democratic National Congress (NDC) were killed in a car accident in Banda while on their way to a political rally.

NDC Bono Regional Communications Officer Charles Akowuah, confirming the news to Citi News, said that NDC supporters were in a KIA truck heading to the event when the unfortunate incident occurred.

He explained that, “They were on their way to a youth gathering in Banda Kankam when the incident happened … Unfortunately for us, it is a rural setting, and they normally use KIA trucks to transport their people and got involved in the accident,” he said. .

Meanwhile, injured supporters have been rushed to Nsawkaw District Hospital and other health facilities in the region for medical care.

Along the same lines, around 30 supporters of the Democratic National Congress were run over by a vehicle in Azuleneno, in the western region, on Sunday, November 22, 2020, killing one and injuring the others.

The deputy for the Ellembelle constituency, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, suspended his political campaign following the tragic incident in his constituency.

He also promised to pay the bills for these affected victims.
