Donald Trump eventually acknowledged that Joe Biden won the US presidential election, but then backtracked and claimed that attempts to “steal votes” meant the race was rigged before later insisting: “I concede NOTHING! We have a long way ahead. “
It was a whirlwind of presidential emotions Sunday morning as Trump and his legal team remained focused on challenging the electoral process in court despite the fact that no evidence had been provided of widespread fraud. Trump’s remarks came in tweets that included several unsubstantiated claims about the presidential vote, which state and federal officials say was safe and secure.
His comments come after several thousand Trump supporters gathered in Washington DC to protest the results of Saturday’s election, with clashes breaking out and at least 20 arrests made. In a series of late-night tweets, the president claimed that the “radical left ANTIFA SCUM” had been to blame for the violence and urged the police to “do their job and not hold back.”

“He has yet to speak to Senator McConnell about anything. We hope Senator McConnell will accept reality … Joe Biden won this election. Kamala Harris won this election. I think it’s time for the leaders of both parties to get down to business. this transition. “

Debunking the President’s Mythical Election Fraud Accusations
Virtually all of the president’s claims about voter fraud have been constantly debunked: His campaign falsely claimed that a dead voter cast their vote when an elderly woman confirmed she was alive and had voted against Trump; he also falsely said that military families were voting illegally when in fact they were not; and he also falsely said that Trump could only lose the election if there was massive electoral fraud. None of this is true.
