No English club has won more trophies since Roman Abramovich’s inauguration in 2003 transformed Chelsea’s fortunes, including five Premier League titles, the club’s first Champions League and two European Leagues.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich believes the Blues’ success in his 18-year reign in charge justifies his impatience with a host of coaches.
Thomas Tuchel became Chelsea’s 13th Abramovich-era manager in January after the club’s all-time top scorer, Frank Lampard, was fired.
Despite constant change, Chelsea has bucked the trend of success in reproducing stability.
No English club has won more titles since the Russian takeover in 2003 transformed Chelsea’s fortunes, including five Premier League titles, the club’s first Champions League and two Europa Leagues.
“I think the trophies speak for themselves and show what we’ve been able to accomplish,” Abramovich said in a rare interview with Forbes.
“I think we are pragmatic in our choices. And we feel comfortable making the right changes at the right time to ensure that we can achieve our long-term ambitions.
“Those who join understand the goals in the field and in the community.”
Abramovich also expressed shock at the racial abuse that his players must suffer on social media.
The 54-year-old has been a prominent anti-Semitism activist and funded Chelsea’s anti-discrimination “No To Hate” campaign.
“Racism, anti-Semitism, all of this is the same kind of evil and should have no place in our world at this time,” Abramovich added.
“Every time they send me examples of racist abuse that our players face, it amazes me. It is a shame that this is the reality not only for our players, but for anyone who is a victim of this type of abuse.
“If we as a club can make a difference in this area, in the fight against anti-Semitism, racism and the promotion of tolerance, I am determined to support it and contribute in whatever way I can.
