Tottenham’s medical team has reportedly confirmed that Gareth Bale will be out of the game for at least a month with injury.

Bale flew to London on Friday alongside his Real Madrid teammate Sergio Reguilón, who is also signing for Spurs, to finalize his £ 20 million loan.

The forward has suffered a knee injury in recent weeks, but has been working in a gym in Valdebebas, and little information has been provided about the Welshman’s condition.

But now, according to the Spanish publication Marca, the Spurs medical team has examined the 31-year-old’s injury and determined that he will be out for up to four weeks.

It seems Tottenham knew this could be the case before agreeing to sign Bale, which means the loan will still take place.

Spurs fans gathered at Luton Airport on Friday to welcome Bale back to the country ahead of his much-anticipated move.

The Welsh international left North London for Real Madrid in 2013.

The Whites squandered a world record of £ 86 million on the winger who won a staggering four Champions League trophies and two La Liga titles.

But Bale’s time in the Spanish capital was not all success and glory, and in recent years he had several clashes with coach Zinedine Zidane.

The forward has an injury in recent weeks

With injuries part of his demise at Real Madrid, Bale found himself frozen this season and in need of a new challenge.

The forward claimed in an interview that the club was making it “difficult” for him to leave, with Real admitting that they turned down a £ 89 million offer for him last season.

But Bale seems to have finally fulfilled his wish and will return to Spurs for at least one season.
