José Mourinho has revealed that the arrival of Gareth Bale has given him the best attacking force he has ever achieved.
The Spurs coach praised President Daniel Levy, saying: “With the number of players, yes. I have had incredible strike forces.
“I remember my first season at Inter, not the season in which we won the treble, the forwards were Ibrahimovic, Adriano and Hernán Crespo and I had them in more than one club.
“Looking at just the three attacking positions here, I have Harry Kane and Vinicius, Son, Bergwijn, Lamela and Lucas. Especially in these three attacking positions he is top quality and big numbers ”.
And Mourinho is licking his lips at the prospect of Gareth Bale taking his Real Madrid form to North London.
The series winner from Wales is set to appear, probably off the bench, in Sunday’s showdown against West Ham in form.
Bale lifted 16 trophies, including four Champions League titles, and scored 105 goals in 251 matches in all Real competitions.
Mourinho has made it clear that the 31-year-old will have a chance to pick up where he left off in 2013 playing in his favorite position – on the right, with Son Heung Min on the left and Harry Kane in the middle.
“One of the first questions in my first conversation with Gareth,” the Spurs boss said, “was ‘What’s your favorite position?’ He wanted to start from there and he answered me.
“Does that mean they will always use it there? No. Because he will play where the team needs him.
“But he was very clear in saying that his favorite position is on the right. He’s not like number 10, he’s not like a forward, he’s not on the left side anymore like he did in the early years of his career at Southampton and Tottenham. Your favorite position is now on the right side.
“When he reaches his continuity and when he reaches his normal intensity and dynamics, I think he can be the player that people saw as decisive when he went to Real Madrid, in a very similar position.
“Real Madrid was basically Bale, Benzema, Ronaldo, with Bale playing fundamentally from the right and that’s the position he prefers.”

The Spurs host the Hammers having won five of their last seven with their final game in Manchester United’s 6-1 demolition at Old Trafford. In their previous game, the Spurs defeated Maccabi Haifa 7-2.
But Mourinho is even more excited about the rich array of options now available to him as the season gets started in earnest.
“We have a squad where each player has to fight a lot and play very, very well to deserve a place in the team,” he said.
“The team is so, so good, so strong. We have so many, so many options that I refuse to say that this or that player is the first option because if you are the first option today, you will be a second option in the next team and vice versa ”.

West Ham will prove to be strong opponents, having won their last two games on a clean sheet and scoring seven goals in the process.
But Mourinho believes his interchangeable striking force will haunt defenses this season, with Kane ready to continue to enjoy his free role.
“Harry is a number 9 and he will always be a number 9,” he said. “But there are 9 who, if they score goals, they play well and if they don’t score goals, they don’t play well.
“Harry can play like nine, ten and he can even play from the left. So if you can do that and explore these areas to help the team develop their game, why not? “
Spurs XI predicted vs West Ham: Lloris, Doherty, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Reguilon, Hojberg, Sissoko, Ndombele, Son, Moura, Kane.
