Thomas Tuchel explains Christian Pulisic’s omission against Newcastle United
Speaking after the victory over Newcastle, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel went on to give a vague explanation of Christian Pulisic’s omission (h / t Football.london).

Pulisic’s form has also been on the downside with only a goal and help everyone in the league so far this season.
Another factor has been the tactical rejig under Tuchel. A switch to 3-4-2-1 means there is no room for a winger like Pulisic who likes to dribble from the widest areas. His talent could be wasted in a winger role while he is unable to play in a more central area.
