Parliament is voting on some of the nominees Parliament is voting on some of the nominees

Michael Ebo Amoah has admonished majority leaders in parliament to whip his side as the plenary is about to debate the rejection of about three of the president’s nominees.

Speaking on Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm about the rejection of some nominees by the minority in the inquiry committee, he said that some NPP MPs are still bitter and might even vote against some nominees when it comes to plenary.

Mr. Ebo Amoah pointed out that the PNP side in Parliament should work on their MP because this is not the time for them to express their feelings.

He said that, seeing what happened during the presidential elections, it was obvious that some of the NPP MPs could vote against the nominees.

“If you want some of your nominees to come through, this is the time for you to strategize. The broader consensus is important. I have deduced that they wanted to reject more nominees. Once they have reduced this to three, and we have 5 pending, the minority is not ready to back down. The NPP MPs could have compromised with Hawa Koomson in exchange for Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and Dr. Afriyie Akoto ”.

According to him, the president cannot afford to lose Minister Agric and Kojo Oppong Nkrumah.

For him, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is the only solid person in the Ministry of Information.

He said that Mr. Oppong Nkrumah is the one who has managed to keep the fort for the government and should not be sacrificed.

In his opinion, the government of the Nana Addo administration could lag behind on this.

”This is not a good sign for the government. But the question is, who caused it? The PNP had a convincing majority, but today it has changed. When they come to power next time, they will use it wisely.

In his opinion, the reasons why some of these people have been rejected by the Minority border on perjury.

He said, if it is true that the rejected deputies lied under oath, then it is not the best.

On Aric’s designated minister, he said the nominee was arrogant although competent.
