The untouchables of Real Madrid

The losses caused by COVID-19 radically changed the transfer market. This summer there were no major transfers as in previous years.

Real Madrid prioritized the sale of players. They had to look to sell players like Reguilon, Bale and James, to name a few.

But the club was unwilling to let other players go. Madrid had a select list of untouchables.

Several teams ask about the likes of Fede Valverde, Vinicius, Asensio and Odegaard, according to ‘Brand’. They all received the same response from Madrid: “No.”

Bayern wanted to make Asensio their star signing of the summer, but neither Madrid nor the footballer listened to Bayern’s proposal. PSG tried to catch Vinicius in the past, but the La Liga team prevented the French team from catching the Brazilian. Asensio was on Liverpool’s agenda while United tried to get Odegaard.

Real Madrid protected its untouchables. Courtois and Rodrygo received no offers, but they are also considered not for sale. The goalkeeper has pleased the club with his numerous saves, while the talented attacker has a bright future ahead of him. It’s just a matter of trust and opportunity.
