Some prominent members and sympathizers of the United Front Party (UFP) have declared their support for the New Patriotic Party (PNP) ahead of the December 7 elections.

According to them, the statement followed a study by the party’s research department, which came out with a report that the PNP is the party that needs the support of Ghanaians to continue implementing innovative policies of social interventions for the benefit of all. .

At a press conference jointly addressed by three leading party members in Suame, near Kumasi, they urged all members and Ghanaians to unite in support of Akufo-Addo and the PNP.

They also advised members to vote en masse for the PNP in the December 7 elections so that the party continues its agenda of national transformation.

2016 UFP vice-president candidate David Essie Bunya said that all party members supported the decision to back the NPP to win the 2020 elections.

“The capable party leadership has organized all founding members, executive members, and all supporters and sympathizers of our great party, the United Front Party (UFP) to declare our unwavering support for Nana Akufo-Addo and the PNP in the upcoming general elections on December 7, “he said at the conference.

The UFP’s national organizer, Mr. Alo Nuhu, said that the party’s disqualification in the 2020 general election was due to the negligence of the leadership.

“However, we would not maintain our broader support base across the country as floating voters, but rather channel our votes to the appropriate sectors to advance Ghana’s development agenda,” he stressed.

Mr. Nuhu emphasized the need for the UFP not to entrust more than one executive power in the hands of an individual in the party, adding that a party president must remain president and not hold another office at the same time.

The candidate for vice president of the UFP 2012, Mr. Fred Osei-Agyen, said that all the members were aware of the various development and social intervention programs of the PNP.

“We can all smell, hear, touch, feel and above all see the numerous policies of social intervention in the country.

Look at the free SHS that has benefited every household in Ghana. The 1D1F is also visible, the planting for food and work, free water, free electricity, reintroduction of the Nursing and Teacher Training allocation, removal of the NHIS incubation period and even integrating the NHIS card into the DNI ”, he pointed out.

Mr. Osei-Agyen said that the UFP does not hesitate to recommend Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP to the good people of Ghana before the elections.
