The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has launched a travel and awards campaign on social media to reward Ghanaian tourists during the Christmas festivities.
As part of the Authority’s mandate to advance the tourism agenda and enhance the active participation of locals in the tourism and hospitality industries, the GTA has launched a 6-week campaign dubbed “The Snap Tour” campaign.
The campaign scheduled for December 21, 2020 to January 31, 2021 aims to reward indigenous Ghanaians who make an effort to travel to local tourist destinations of their choice within the campaign deadline.
The Snap Tour campaign aims to rediscover Ghana’s tourist sites and further rekindle the dying fire of domestic tourism due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
To be part of the group of lucky winners of the Snap Tour social media campaign, participants must visit the local tourist sites of their choice, take photos and share on their various social media platforms along with the campaign hashtags.

How to take part
All Ghanaians over the age of 18 are eligible to enter this contest. To participate, please follow the following rules:
Step 1: Travel to your favorite tourist spot from December 21, 2020 to January 31, 2021.
Step 2: Take a photo of yourself at the tourist spot of your choice. Photos taken before the campaign dates will be void. Filters will be used to filter photos.
Step 3: Explore your creativity. Post your best photo with amazing caption on all social media identifiers.
Step 4: tag our social media identifiers in your post and use the hashtag #Snaptour. The social media channels in focus are:

Selection of winners
Weekly winners
Three winners will be selected at the end of each week. These winners will be determined based on their overall commitments (shares, comments, and likes) on the photos they submitted in the contest. They will also be judged based on the best caption and the best photo.
