The owner of the Berekum Arsenal Yakubu Moro dies

The owner and financier of Division One Berekum Arsenal club, Alhaji Yakubu Moro, has passed away.

Moro was confirmed dead Thursday night at Ridge Regional Hospital after battling a brief illness.

Under Moro, Berekum Arsenal were promoted to the Ghana Premier League in 2000 and remained in the elite division for the next 13 years.

According to Islamic practice, Alhaji Moro will be buried on Friday, October 16.

The Ghana Football Association, along with other Ghanaian clubs, have shared their condolences.
