Nana Kwadwo Nyarko III, the overlord of Prang in the Pru West district of the Bono East region, has endorsed President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, describing him as a “man of words.”

Therefore, he pressured Ghanaians to support his government and allow him to achieve his vision for the nation.

“The president’s inspiring leadership in containing the spread of COVID-19, fulfilling his 2016 election manifesto and creating the Pru West district demonstrates his vision to build a better Ghana,” he said.

Speaking at a large durbar to cap off the ‘Nkyifie’ yam festival of the chiefs and people of Prang, Nana Nyarko III said that the Pru West District had witnessed tremendous development and praised the president in that regard.

The theme of the week-long festival was “Sustaining Peace, Progress and Development” and it attracted people from all walks of life to promote family unity and galvanize support for further development of the area.

Nana Nyarko III indicated that the government had addressed the perennial water shortage in the area by building a water project in a small town, benefiting from the One-District-One-Factory (1D1F) project and access roads.

He said the Planting for Food and Jobs Program (PfFJs) had also provided decent jobs for the youth in the area and reminded President Akufo-Addo to keep his promise to build a district hospital in the area.

“We have nothing to offer in return just to praise the President and we pray that Almighty God would provide all the desires of his heart and give him a long life and wisdom to rule the nation with godly fear,” declared the Supreme Chief.

Nana Nyarko III, however, called on the government to build the Prang-Abease-Kintampo highway to boost the economic activities of the people.

Mr. Stephen Jalula, the Pru West District Executive Director, appealed to the people to appreciate and preserve the peace in the area, saying that only in an atmosphere of peace could development in communities flourish.

He expressed the hope that the followers of the political parties in the area will be decorous in the electoral campaign and avoid tendencies that could unleash violence and disturb the peace before, during and after the general elections.

Jalula told the people to vote for President Akufo-Addo to pave the way for his next government to take the nation’s development to the next level and witness a significant improvement in their living conditions.
