I feel melancholy to hear some misguided Muslims and Zongolese intentionally spin the promise of the Democratic National Congress manifesto that seeks to liaise with our hospitals to establish a facility (morgues) to handle the mortal remains of Muslims in accordance with custom. and Islamic practices.
Is it in the estimation of these mistaken Muslims that they are unaware of the frustration that Muslims go through to recover the mortal remains of their relatives in our hospitals? Is it in the interest of these misguided Muslims to continue to witness these frustrations among their fellow Muslims?
You see, these misguided Muslims are advancing on this unpopular course not as a result of their misinterpretation of the NDC’s manifesto provision, but as a result of their selfish and narrow political interest. For your parish interest, Islamic interest policies should not see the light of day. Unfortunately, these people call themselves Muslim.
However, for the benefit of the doubt, I will expose. The NDC has promised to “… facilitate the establishment of morgues in accordance with Islamic customs and practices and to collaborate with the Ministry of Health to establish focal teams responsible for procedures that comply with Islamic customs and practices in all mortuaries. of public corpses “.
This is simple, unless, for all intents and purposes, you want to mull over problems.
As Muslims as we are, in one way or another we have witnessed situations where Muslims have to go through stress and frustration in our various hospitals to retrieve the mortal remains of their relatives for burial. No Muslim can deny this fact. The practice now is that when a Muslim passes away in our various hospitals, the body is sent to the morgue where the treatment is not in accordance with Islamic customs and practices.
The provision of the NDC manifesto simply means that the next NDC government is going to establish focal teams to manage Muslim corpses in separate facilities in accordance with, so to speak, Islamic customs and practices.
So, for example, if a Muslim dies in a hospital, a ‘mortuary man’ will administer and send the body to that particular separate facility, and if it is a dead Muslim woman, then a woman who is has commissioned that task. She would be in charge of managing and sending the body.
Therefore, it is the imagination of some misguided Muslims and shameless political actors to assert forcefully that the NDC has promised to install morgues in the Zongo communities. This is not only a shocking lie, but it also beats common sense and logic.
I have said it locus classicus without a slight misunderstanding that Muslims / Northerners in the PNP are the worst enemies of Muslims / Northerners in this country. We had Muslims / Northerners in the PNP who supported the denationalization of their fellow Muslim / Northerners who are in the NDC. Dr. Mamudu Bawumia’s wife is a Fulani. Due to her association with the NPP, she registered for the Ghana Card and Voter Identification Card without hindrance or hindrance. When her compatriots Fulani were prevented from registering, she fell silent and watched as they were deprived of their rights.
Today, the NDC promises a policy of unsurpassed Islamic significance. Instead of all Muslims (regardless of our political leanings) happily embracing him, some wrong Muslims are helping to bastardize him.
In all of these, Dr. Mamudu Bawumia, who takes office directly as a result of what he professes to be, is silent while gimmicks bastardize this important Islamic policy. Weren’t we in this country when Dr. Bawumia said it was good that the PNP chose him because he was and still is Muslim? And what came to defend the course of the Muslims? What happened?
I leave this question to your conjecture. May Allah forgive all who participate in this charade. Thank you.
