Immediately, the new parliament takes oath from January 2021, they must take all necessary measures to enact a new law strict enough to restrict anyone in Ghana who calls himself a prophet, prophet, imam or pastor, mallam or priest fetish, spiritualist or traditional Priest, man of God or whoever, to take the liberty of pronouncing death, calamity, incurable disease, disaster, that happens to any citizen of Ghana (nightly prophecies of December 31), unless said Ghanaian individual of whom the prophecy is about, has actually and voluntarily approached the prophet for spiritual consultation, counseling, or attends his church, shrine, or mosque; Apart from that, any unsolicited public pronouncement of death or calamity against any person or persons in Ghana must be considered an abuse of the human rights of the persons and therefore amounts to a crime of perpetrating emotional, psychological and mental torture on the person if he or she chooses to file a claim in court or file a complaint at the nearest police station.
Through them they call it spiritual matters and it cannot be dealt with in a court of law, but the fact is that what Ghanaians go through at the end of each year at the hands of these so-called prophets and Mallam are not genuine prophecies, but pure perpetration. of psychological and mental torture on some innocent Ghanaians. What they call prophecies are typical mental tortures that are based primarily on psychological effects, and only secondarily on any physical harm inflicted that is intended to cause one to succumb. In fact, not all psychological torture involves the use of physical violence; However, experts believe that there is a continuum between psychological torture and physical torture and that is exactly what Ghanaians get from these prophets every year.
It will continue to get worse if steps are not taken as soon as possible to contain them. That is the only way we can have our peace of mind from these heinous pronouncements of these ‘prophets’, which they call “31 night prophecies”.
Honestly, it is not only outrageous and unfair to those innocent people who pronounce death on them, but it is also barbaric, evil, and stupid to declare someone living dead and put their loved ones in such psychological trauma.
It seems that many Ghanaians do not understand and appreciate the sudden sense of fear, confusion and disorientation that such pronouncements create in the minds of friends, family, loved ones and followers when deaths and calamities are announced, waiting for them to happen to prominent people they appreciate.
This is absolutely unnecessary and it is simply not correct that so-called prophets have the freedom to intelligently subject innocent people to such mental slavery, telling them that they have only a few months to live on earth. Bad news that even medical professionals find it extremely difficult to communicate to their patients.
A prophet, telling a woman that she will suffer from breast cancer in a year, is the last thing any woman on earth would like to hear. Announcing that a sitting president will die days before the December 7 general election was definitely not pleasant news that most Ghanaians wanted to hear. Telling a presidential candidate that he will win an election and emphasizing that it is what God has decreed, and it turns out that he actually lost the election, would not only embolden that candidate’s recalcitrant nature and possibly incite his gullible supporters to think that his votes they have been stolen to start unrest but to perpetrate violence to satisfy their fickle sense of sympathy with their leader. It is simply not correct and must STOP.
How many times have you prophesied that there is an imminent death for Her Excellency President Nana Akufo-Addo? How many times have they not announced the imminent death of the former first lady, Ms Kufuor since 2017? In what year did they say our Distinguished National Chief Imam would die? Has died?
ShattaWale is still dead too and maybe already buried since they said he would die 3 years ago? They said that the much loved Ghanaian musician Daddy Lumber will die 5 years ago. Has died? In fact, they even said that former President John Mahama would be assassinated by his own NDC members in 2019, now we are in 2021. Has he been assassinated? What kind of rubbish are these pronouncements that you call prophecies?
In fact, they said that Vice President Dr. Bawumia, former President John Mahama and former President John Agyekum Kufuor would all die in 2019, we are in 2021 now, have they died? What is the meaning of all this and why should they be allowed to continue? What do you seek to achieve if all these prominent personalities die as you wish them to die? Absolutely mind-blowing.
Last December 31st, some of the provocative new prophecies are that President Akufo-Addo will actually die again before January 7th and cannot be sworn in. How many times would President Akufo-Addo die in his life? Aabah.
They have even added that our Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta will also die in the next 4 months. In fact, what crime have Ghanaians committed to deserve these absurdities and heinous psychological torture? Why?
Frankly, 2020, what has angered me the most on this issue today is a prophecy that came on the night of December 31, which says that our First Lady, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, will contract breast cancer before the end of 2021 , by a Prophet named Salifu or whatever they call him. What kind of nonsense is that? How can you say this about a woman, announce a breast cancer for a woman, not just an ordinary woman, the first lady of the country, someone’s mother, someone’s aunt, someone’s grandmother? To me this is clearly outrageous and has bothered me to the core.
Something must definitely be done about these nonsensical pronouncements that they call prophecies. In fact, that is even the essence of legislators, to pass laws to control fire situations and we hope that this new parliament will address this issue and introduce laws that can protect the private human rights of citizens.
No one, absolutely no one, no Prophet, no Prophetess, no Fetish Priest, no Pastor or Mallam or whoever, has the right to sentence anyone to death with their spiritual beliefs. It is an abuse of human rights, it creates fear and panic, it is absolutely wrong and it must STOP.
What Ghanaians are ignoring is that this too could have serious security consequences if the necessary precautions are not taken. Unscrupulous people who are planning to commit a crime against certain personalities can easily hide or collude with some prophets to declare you dead and once it is in the public domain, they can take advantage of it to poison the target people or find some ways to do it. Kill them and then brainwash people that it’s a prophecy that has been fulfilled because it was said that he would die anyway, to cover his tracks. This is not OK.
The sooner we do something quickly and drastically about this madness perpetrated by these Prophets, the better we can have our peace of mind. Otherwise, his lies and reckless misleading prophecies may one day plunge the entire country into unfortunate pandemonium.
SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE !!
