Meanwhile, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad also chaired the third assembly of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), the organization in charge of managing all projects related to the 2022 World Cup, in which Infantino, Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani , the Emir’s personal representative and Sheikh Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar, were also present among other high-ranking officials.

The SC meeting reviewed the latest developments regarding the stadiums being built prior to Qatar 2022 and the operational plans for the tournament, as well as the country’s initiatives to offer the best possible experience to visiting fans during the World Cup. .

Infantino also visited Al-Khor’s Al-Bayt Stadium, the venue that will host the opening match of the 2022 World Cup, an experience that, according to the FIFA president, left him “speechless” after being guided through the 60,000-seat field where you were given a first-hand view of all the technological advances that are being implemented in the field.
