A driver who identified himself as Liman Akwara surprised viewers when he interrupted his journey to meet his idol Shatta Wale on Hitz FM on Friday.
He was taking a minibus full of passengers to Accra from Accra New Town when he made an abrupt stop in front of the Joy FM building because he saw the musician enter the premises.
In an attempt to finally meet his icon, Limann left his car in the middle of the road and then ordered his passengers to get out and ordered his driver to return their ticket.
Several obviously angry passengers insulted him, but he turned a deaf ear to her harsh words.
Mr. Akwara, who has tattooed the dancer on his back, told Myjoyonline.com that he has been waiting for “this moment all my life.”
After drawing the attention of Shatta Wale’s crew members, the star-dazzled host was finally brought to see the singer who was in the Hitz FM studio for an interview with Andy Dosty.
Overcome with emotion, the conductor burst into tears and prostrated himself before the musician, who was also happy to see him.
Limann Akwara revealed that she lost her mother this morning, but seeing Shatta Wale in person has eased her pain.
