The Black Stars B depart for a friendly with Uzbekistan

Ghana’s home team left Accra on Saturday night for Tashkent for their international friendly match against Uzbekistan on Friday, March 26, 2021.

The contingent included 20 players and members of the management who will transit through Istanbul.

CAF 2021 U-20 Nations Cup winning trio Samuel Ashie Quaye, Percious Boah and Afriyie Barnieh made the cut.

The team will be joined by Colchester United striker Kwame Afriyie Opoku, who was originally included in the Black Stars squad for the 2021 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sao Tome and Principe and South Africa.

Head coach Ibrahim Tanko will use the match to prepare for the 2021 WAFU Nations Cup in Nigeria and the upcoming CHAN qualifiers.
