Ghana’s U-20 women’s team, Black Princesses, achieved a 4-3 win over their junior teammates Black Maidens (U-17) on Saturday in a friendly at Robert Mensah Sports Stadium in Cape Coast.

The game, which is the third of its kind since the two teams reported to camp on Cape Coast, is part of preparations for their various World Cup assignments.

Princesses forward Milot Abena Pokua took a double before Mukarama Abdulai and Doris Boaduwaa added to the bill.

On the other hand, Ophelia Serwaa Amponsah scored twice with Georgina Aoyem scoring the third goal for the Black Maidens.

The Black Maidens are preparing for the final qualifying round for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2021 against Nigeria in October. Ghana will host the first leg at Cape Coast Stadium before traveling to Nigeria for the second leg with the winner of the two World Cup qualifying matches.

The Princesses will face Guinea Bissau in a FIFA U-20 Women’s Qualifier 2021 on a date yet to be announced.
