The ‘big guns’ fall in the parliamentary elections

[ad_1]

A political hurricane of incredible magnitude swept through the parliamentary polls when 31 deputies fell from both sides of the House.

The deputies of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) suffered 28 casualties, including ministers, state ministers and vice ministers, collapsing under the weight of their opponents of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

While the NDC lost in some constituencies, it made inroads into PNP territories.

For the bigwigs who went down and their political parties, they may be going through quiet introspection to establish what went wrong.

The voting pattern has indicated what has come to be known in political parlance as “skirt and blouse.”
