One of the candidates running to become the next president of Barcelona has said that he will give away tattoos and pizzas to club members if they vote for him.
Jordi Farre needs to collect 2,257 signatures from the members of the Barcelona club in order to stand for the presidential elections, which will be held on January 24.

In an attempt to encourage people to back his campaign, he has promised a tattoo of the Barça crest and pizzas of a celebrity chef to anyone who supports him.
“Anyone who gives us their signature can get the tattoo,” Farre said during his candidacy presentation on Wednesday.
“We believe that our campaign should be an example of how we want to govern, changing the way we do things with activities that allow us to show how we are.”
Farre, who cast the vote of no confidence against Josep Maria Bartomeu who finally ousted the president in October, also hopes that renowned chef Fabián Martín’s pizzas will attract voters.
Martín rose to fame with the launch of a pizza called “Messi” and his restaurant in Catalonia has been frequented by Barça players from the past and present.

Farre is one of nine candidates for the presidency. In order to stand for election, each of them must collect 2,257 social signatures from December 23 to January 11.
Those who get enough signatures will run for the January 24 election.
Former President Joan Laporta and Víctor Font are among the favorites to replace Bartomeu, who resigned in October instead of forcing a vote of no confidence amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Regardless, Bartomeu’s term would expire next year and elections for Match had already been scheduled.
While Farre’s promise of tattoos and pizzas may attract enough signatures, issues closer to the pitch, such as guarantees about the future of Lionel Messi, will carry more weight in the election.
Farre said he is confident that Messi, who is out of contract in June and is free to speak with other clubs as of January, will renew his contract if selected.
“I would venture to say that if I am elected, Messi will sign a new contract on January 25,” he said.
