Obore Gariba Yankosor, commenting on the government’s export plantation and rural development, said that people, particularly farmers in the traditional Tatale area, have benefited from the cashew.
He then encouraged the government to do more to solve other problems faced by residents, including robbery attacks.
For his part, the vice president indicated that the government’s Sowing for Food and Jobs program has improved agriculture by allowing the country to export 17 different crops abroad.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia explained that such food crops are plentiful and Ghana can afford to export some.
The vice president said that there is a greater supply of fertilizers and other agricultural inputs and that they are accessible.
According to him, the situation is an indication of the state of abundance of food in each district so that everyone can eat.
“We have reduced the prices of fertilizers and it is very accessible. The 50% price reduction is very accessible to our farmers across the country and in every district in this country, farmers grow more and there is more food for everyone to eat.
