The head of Tamaligu in the northern region, Tamaligu Naa Yakubu Andani Abdulai, praised the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, for being the first presidential candidate to visit his kingdom.

Visibly euphoric, Tamaligu Naa offered his blessings to Mr. Mahama, who paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Tamaligu, in the Kariga constituency of the northern region.

NaanYakubu Andani Abdulai, who noted that no presidential candidate or sitting president had visited his Kingdom, urged Mahama to visit his Kingdom again when he is elected President in the presidential election on December 7, 2020.

He hinted that at the appropriate time when Mr. Mahama became president, he, on behalf of his people, would present his applications to him.

For his part, Mahama said the next NDC government would establish a water project in a small town for the people of Tamaligu, adding that when the Ghanaians give him the mandate on December 7, he would build an upper secondary school in the district. election of Kariga.

He said the next NDC government would establish Farmer Mechanization Centers in all agricultural districts of the country, as part of efforts to boost the productivity of the country’s farmers.

Mr. Mahama explained that in each agricultural district of the country, they would open a Farmer Mechanization Center and all interested farmers in the district would have to go and register with the Center, adding that each Center would have a minimum of 15 tractors and other machines to help farmers in their activities.

Mahama said that when the agricultural season begins, registered farmers will be able to access the center’s services. He said that farmers would pay a token amount for the Center’s services after they have harvested and sold their crops.

“It is not necessary to pay immediately for the services of the Center. What you do is they record the cost and when you finish harvesting, you sell them and then you pay the cost. ”
