Democratic National Congress communications officer Sammy Gyamfi has debunked reports suggesting that the NDC wants to return to Peace FM’s morning show Kokrokoo after months of boycott.

The Democratic National Congress boycotted Peace FM’s morning show in May 2020 after describing the show’s host as a dictator and biased.

An NDC statement copied to MyNewsGh.com read: “The National Communication Office of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) wishes to inform all its communicators, media monitors and officials that the party has boycotted the morning program of Peace (104.3) FM (Kookrokoo) effective today, Wednesday May 6, 2020 ”.

However, there were reports in some sections of the local media that suggested that the NDC was “fighting” to return to the program that they had boycotted in May this year.

But in a tweet addressing this issue, Sammy Gyamfi insists that the NDC will not do so or begged to return to the Peace FM Morning program, which he describes as an overblown platform.

Sammy Gyamfi indicated that the NDC brand is much larger than the morning show Peace FM and they will never appear on the show especially under their watch.

He said: “For the records, the NDC will never and never beg to appear on Peace FM’s Kookrokoo. The Comm. The office that I direct has no intention of ever returning to that program. The NDC brand is much bigger than that overrated platform. Our boycott continues. Ignore the lies. #BaakoLied “.
