Swansea City forward Andre Ayew
Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew has been named to the EFL Team of the Week following his winning performance for Swansea against Wycombe.
Ayew scored and assisted when Swansea City beat Wycombe 2-0 on the road in the English Championship over the weekend.
The Black Stars captain opened his season account when he shot on his team’s first goal of the game.
Ayew scored in the first 15 minutes after teammate Jake Bidwell fouled him.
Later, he became a supplier to forward Jamal Lowe as the visiting team doubled their lead while the visiting team finally held on to victory.
By rewarding players for their performance over the weekend, the EFL formed a Team of the Week and Ayew was selected.
