Stunner Antonio Helps West Ham Draw – Ghana Soccer Latest News, Live Scores, Results

Phil Foden has been directly involved in six goals in his last 10 appearances in all competitions – four goals and two assists.

Michail Antonio scored a wonderful goal to add his side to a hard-earned point against Manchester City, who have now won once in four Premier League games.

Antonio’s spectacular acrobatic volley from a Vladimir Coufal cross put the Hammers ahead at London Stadium and provided another twist on this unpredictable top flight season.

But substitute Phil Foden leveled for City six minutes after coming in early in the second half, producing a very good turnaround to score off Joao Cancelo’s pass.

City dominated possession and sent Kevin de Bruyne, who had missed the previous two games through injury, but could not find a winner and remained anchored in the bottom half of the table after five games.

Hardworking West Ham is gaining momentum

Having lost their first two games, West Ham have gained eight points from their last four matches, and can add a well-earned point against City to impressive victories over Leicester and Wolves.

Last Sunday, it was Manuel Lanzini who scored a brilliant goal as the Hammers rallied 3-0 against to draw 3-3 at Tottenham.

Lanzini’s heroic deeds weren’t enough to earn him a starting spot as Antonio produced a wonderful goal, beating Ruben Dias to propel an aerial kick past Ederson and give David Moyes’s team an advantage against the march of the move.

City complained that there was a handball in the preparation of Tomas Soucek, which the VAR verified. The goal would have been ruled out if Soucek, who had kept the ball in play before passing through Coufal to prepare Antonio, had been judged as deliberately manipulated, but the VAR ruled that this was not the case.

West Ham worked hard, but had to dig deep to secure a first point against City since January 2016.

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski produced two excellent saves to keep substitute De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez out as City finished strong.

In the end, it was an impressive point for West Ham, who had lost all eight of their previous games against City by a 25-3 aggregate score.

Michail Antonio has scored 11 goals in his last 12 Premier League games Since the Premier League restarted in June, only Harry Kane (12) has scored more goals than Antonio (11) Antonio has scored against Arsenal, Leicester and Manchester City this season what’s next?

West Ham have a week to prepare for next Saturday’s trip, reigning champions Liverpool (17:30 GMT), while Manchester City are in France on Tuesday to face Marseille in Group C of the Champions League (20 : 00 GMT).

More to follow.
