Ghanaian award-winning Dancehall artist Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has sent a series of stern warnings to political party activists who create fake social media posts and attribute them to him.
In the last week, there have been several posts that have been captured and submitted as Shatta Wale posts.
In some of the posts, the Dancehall Artiste allegedly criticizes John Dramani Mahama for claiming to be the mastermind behind Free SHS.
But the Dancehall artist in a short statement on his Twitter page said that he is against what political party activists are doing on social media under his name.
He has asked politicians to stop dragging his name into their political jokes and to stop spreading falsehood about him.
Mr. Charles Nii Armah said: “Stop dragging me into political issues when I haven’t said anything. I see prominent people in our country posting Photoshop statements about me, which is not true. Please stop because I hate it !!! “
