A prominent member of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government, Kow Essuman, is surprised that the NDC under the leadership of John Mahama thinks that the best way to challenge the results of the recently concluded elections is through press conferences.
For him, if the Democratic National Congress (NDC) and its leader have problems with the outcome of the elections, they must know where to channel their complaints and not bore the country with a series of press conferences.
“Once the election results are declared, your only avenue for challenge is the courts, the High Court for the parliamentarian and the Supreme Court for the president, not press conferences,” he said in a tweet.
The leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has sent a warning note to the Electoral Commission that he will fight until the rightful winner of the recently concluded general elections is declared.
Mr. Mahama describes the election results declared by the President of the Election Commission as a fictitious result that does not represent the will of the Ghanaian who voted for the change.
The former president has said that his party is auditing its pink sheet and will take the necessary measures to “reverse this farce of justice.
Once the election results are declared, your only means of challenge are the courts (the High Court for the parliamentarian and the Supreme Court for the president), not the press conferences. #MahamaDoTheRightThing
