The new member of parliament for the Medina Patriotic Party, Abu-Bakar Siddique Boniface, has expressed his confidence in the emerging winner of the special voting exercise in the constituency ahead of the main elections on December 7.
According to the Minister of State of the Presidency, his conviction comes from reading the behavior of the voters who have been flocking to the Madina Divisional Police Headquarters to cast their votes in today’s special voting exercise.
For him, the feeling of victory is only a precursor to his impending victory on December 7.
“I think I already won the special votes. I am very confident that I will win in this electoral college because the body language of most of them was enough; smiling at me, even if one’s smile doesn’t justify it. However, sometimes if you are very good at body language, you will find that these people, most of them, are for me. The last four years I have won and this time I am also very optimistic to win and once I have won it is a done deal. We are beating Madina without a doubt, ”he said.
However, the incumbent Madina deputy, who has employed himself as an agent for the elections, expressed confidence in the voting process and said he believes that the calm and order that has characterized the special voting exercise will translate into at the events of December 7.
The Ghana Election Commission ahead of the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections is conducting a special vote in all 275 polling stations in the country.
In total, in today’s exercise more than one hundred and nine thousand people will participate, made up of security officials, the media and officials of the Electoral Commission.
