The Ayawaso West Wuogon parliamentary candidate for the Democratic National Congress, John Dumelo, has toured today, December 1, several centers in his constituency designated for Special Voting.

The GhanaWeb camera caught up with Mr. Dumelo at the Legon Police Station, where he had arrived to observe the process.

Speaking to our reporter, Mawuli Ahorlu, he indicated that so far he was impressed with the electoral processes in the different polling stations where he had been.

“So far so good. I think this is just a dress rehearsal for the December 7 elections. Security personnel and the media have started gathering here,” he said.

He indicated that the electorates that will participate in the main elections have been educated on how to correctly cast their vote to reduce the high number of rejected votes in this year’s elections.

“We have really educated them well, we have made this miniature ballot that we have distributed that shows how to vote for John Dramani Mahama, who is number 2 on the ballot.”

Following GhanaWeb’s visit to some polling stations in the Greater Accra region, we found that the process was progressing smoothly with encouraging voter turnout.
