Ghanaian star Sandra Ankobiah has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to quickly intervene in the Nigerian situation following widespread protests in Nigeria.

Sandra Ankobiah took to Twitter to plead with the president to intervene in the situation and use her position as president of ECOWAS to help resolve the situation.

The Ghanaian superstar, who also serves as a lawyer, made the comments following some form of atrocities occurring in Nigeria over the nationwide #EndSARS protests in the country.

Reports arriving on October 20, 2020 showed that some people in military garb were shooting at a crowd of unarmed protesters and reportedly killing some.

There were many videos on social media showing people at a popular toll booth in Lekki, where people were seen in distress.

Many celebrities in both Nigeria and Ghana have added their voices to the atrocities that are taking place and asked the right people to take action.

Sandra Ankobiah’s tweet read: “Mr. President @NAkufoAddo, please show some empathy. Please show the Nigerian youth that you care. Please show some authority as Head of Ecowas. Thank you”

Other stars such as Lydia Forson, Efia Odo, Sista Afia have added their voices to the issue that is happening in the West African country.
