Although Shatta Wale performed at Sarkodie’s “Black Love” virtual concert that took place in August this year, he missed the Rapperholic concert.

Held at the Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Center, on Friday December 25, the eighth concert was raided by music fans inside and outside of Ghana, particularly SarkNatives, the official army of fans of the two-time BET award winner.

The concert saw hundreds of fans of the musician fill the venue to witness another historic moment.

Featured stars such as Joey B, King Promise, Sista Afia and more made guest appearances, however Shatta Wale, who resolved her grudge with Sarkodie at the virtual concert “Black Love,” was nowhere to be found.

And according to Sarkodie, it was due to the filing fee, which says the controversial dancehall star demanded $ 250,000 (equivalent to 1.4 million Ghana Cedis) when his team approached him.

He revealed this during a friendly joke with Shatta Wale on Twitter on Saturday, December 26.

It all started when live personality Jay Forley shared a throwback photo with Shatta Wale at the Rapperholic concert in 2017.

He captioned the photo: “Good times with @shattawalegh.”

Sarkodie quoted the tweet, saying: “Rapperholic”.

Shatta Wale then quoted the tweet, saying Sarkodie missed him and complimented him even more on the show. “Abi you miss me; congratulations last night Rapperholic ”, tweeted.

Sarkodie responded quickly, saying it was because he demanded a lot of money for his performance.

“Man calls you, you say last price 250k dollars … Ma te … We’ll see” tweeted.

It’s unclear if he’s just joking, but Shatta Wale isn’t wrong about charging his fellow musicians fees. It’s been the tradition for years and this won’t be a bad precedent anyway.
